TYPES OF HAUNTINGS
Many people believe there are only four types of hauntings.These are RESIDUAL , INTELLIGENT , POLTERGEIST and DEMONIC.In fact there are numerous types of hauntings although most may fall under these basic categories.Please read on to learn more about these other hauntings in depth.
Let's start with the basics.First we'll talk about what's known as a RESIDUAL HAUNTING.In a residual haunting there is no communication with the living person it will NEVER interact with you , in fact it would seem to be quite oblivious to your presence.It's like a memory imprint or energy remnant left behind.RESIDUAL HAUNTINGS seem to be playbacks of past events that may have been so traumatic that they have become imprinted on the very materials of space in which they occurred.Battlefields where many fought and died violently are the perfect setting for a RESIDUAL HAUNTING.
Now let's move on to what's known as an INTELLIGENT /INTERACTIVE or HUMAN HAUNTING.Sometimes spirits linger , and they do so with reason.They want to get your attention.These entities are able to interact with the living and at times do this in amazing ways.Theories on why they stay are possible unfinished business,they may be afraid to cross over or they may simply have an attachment to a person or place.Here are some signs of an INTELLIGENT HAUNTING.
- Lights,televisions,radios and faucets turn on and off on their own
- Strange unexplained sounds
- Furniture and small objects are moved and sometimes even thrown
- Doors and windows open and close
- Cold spots along with a strong sense of being watched
- Objects disappear and then reappear in impossible places
These spirits that stay behind have a mission to complete and they need some help..most likely yours in this circumstance.
Now we'll talk about our friendly little POLTERGEIST.A POLTERGEIST is a noisy spirit that makes it presence known mostly through sounds..in the begining.Physical manifestations will eventually follow.It most likely will start out as scratching noises coming from within the walls and quickly escalate in to more prominent thumping and banging sounds.Objects will begin to fly through the air usually just barely missing you.Most often in these cases there is an adolescent or teenager in the house where the activity is occurring.At the same time it is also quite possible for adults to trigger the manifestations.All that is really necessary for this type of activity to occur is for the person to be extremely emotionally troubled.In theory it is believed that the person is unconsciously manipulating the objects in the house by way of PSYCHOKINESIS , which is having the power to move things by the energy generated in the brain.Almost always these people have no idea they are causing the poltergeist activity happening around them.Typical POLTERGEIST activity does not last long.Most disturbances usually subside within a few weeks,although there have been cases where it has gone on much longer such as the BELL WITCH CASE where the family was tormented from 1817 until 1821.
Last but certainly not least of the basic hauntings is the DEMONIC HAUNTING.To sum it up DEMONS are basically the worst bully you could ever encounter.They may typically start off using signs of an INTELLIGENT or POLTERGEIST HAUNTING.Scratching sounds escalating to bangs and thumps,faucets turning on and off.DEMONS tend to be very subtle at first...they may even try to be your friend by posing as a child or anyone you may have sympathy for.DEMONS can present themselves in any form they choose.They may tell you future events that actually happen!!!! Because the want to hook you in.Next it'll progress to pictures falling off walls,your blankets being pulled off violently at night,perhaps you may even be pulled off the bed.DEMONS feed off of fear.Once they have created this type of atmosphere they will begin personal attacks.A slap in the face,a pinch,bites,punches,scratches...you name it!Just when you think it can't get any worse...it will.Things may burst into flames,things will swirl through the air and you may even be able to hear it speak.Although this is just another intimidation method.DEMONS are not here to communicate with us.They think of humans as beneath them and very lowly.If you believe you have a DEMONIC PRESENCE in your house DO NOT CHALLENGE IT!!!This would be a very dangerous situation.The DEMONS would love to show you how very weak you are compared to them.There are generally five stages to a DEMONIC POSSESSION which are as follows:
AN OPEN INVITATION:This is when a person either intentionally or unintentionally invites the DEMONIC FORCE in. There are various ways this is done such as but not limited to OUIJA BOARDS and SEANCES.DEMONS are attracted to people they see as weak minded,emotionally troubled or those who have low self esteems.It is also theorized that people who are drug addicts , sex addicts , and alcoholics and easy targets.
INFESTATION - At this level the demon will start using what may seem like typical intelligent haunting signs. The demon may present itself as the ghost of a loved one or even an angel. The point is to gain trust, so the demonic may influence the person and finally take full control. Some signs of demonic infestation include rapping’s, shadows and shadow like figures that move with no explanation, the sounds of footsteps, weird liquids the seep through the floor or walls.
OPPRESSION - When an individual is under demonic oppression the demon starts to effect the person psychologically, psychically and emotionally. The purpose is to cause the individual to give up the fight or will to live and damn their soul, it said this can be accomplished by suicide.
POSSESSION - When an individual hits this level it is called full possession. The demon or devil now has control over the individual thoughts, emotions and behavior. The evil is frequently in charge if not constantly. If or when the person is in control of their body they usually hear evil voices either threatening them or telling them what do at all times.
DEATH - The only purpose of possession is death of the host. The more pain and suffering the demon can cause from within the family the better.
