The Connecticut Soul Seekers had the honor and privilege of being one of the last , if not the last group to conduct an investigation at Carousel Gardens located in Seymour,CT before it was sold to the Oxford Hair Academy.
The place was reported to be haunted , with staff members telling stories of how they would hear glass breaking sometimes and see nothing there. People also get tugged on and have feelings of being watched all the time. A cat with glowing white eyes
was also reported on the premises. It is believed that the spirits of both Ruth and William still
haunt their old house
The Victorian home was built by William Henry Harrison Wooster on 34 acres of land between 1878 and 1894.It consisted of 20 rooms, including the large "Carousel "room in the front of the building.
Mr. Wooster was a Civil War Veteran and also started the Seymour Manufacturing Company,Seymour Trust and Seymour Water.
Mr Wooster married and had 5 children Clara Lee,Annie,Louise,Mabel,Horace and Helena Ruth.it is said that Horace and Ruth along with Mr. Wooster himself, still haunt the mansion to this day, because of their love for the home.
Some of the claims include footsteps, bangs, dimes falling from the ceiling, glasses breaking, voices and whispers.(especially when the cooks and waiters argued)
